LITTLE LANGLAND VIEWPOINT
ROTHERSLADE, SWANSEA, 2016
An overgrown, messy waste land for decades has been re claimed by human interference over the summer months, once again became a place for people to enjoy.
I set out to make a space that emerged from the local people, ideas and materials. With the helpful hands of friends and family we cleared the bramble kingdom. As soon as the space opened out it became a place for congregation, creativity, barbecues and bonfires. I built a stilted platform for people to climb up and enjoy the sea views. Everything was made from re-claimed materials. The platform became known as little Langland view point. The more time spent there, the more the stories, both new and old, unravelled.
