LITTLE LANGLAND VIEWPOINT
ROTHERSLADE, SWANSEA, 2016
An overgrown, messy waste land for decades has been re claimed by human interference over the summer months, once again became a place for people to enjoy.
I set out make a space, grown from the people that surrounds it. With the helpful hands of friends and family we cleared the bramble kingdom. As soon as the space opened out it became a place for congregation, creativity, barbecues and bonfires. I built a stilted platform for people to climb up and enjoy the sea views. Everything was made from re-claimed materials. The platform became known as little Langland view point. The more time spent there, the more the stories, both new and old, unravelled.
